Honoring Those Who Have Served

On this Veterans Day, ReMend extends our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have selflessly served our nation. Your commitment to preserving our freedoms has not gone unnoticed, and we honor the sacrifices you've made.

In the spirit of appreciation, we also want to shed light on the challenges faced by many Veterans who are fighting a different battle—the battle against kidney disease. Your courage in navigating this health journey serves as an inspiration to us all.

Did you know?

  • 7.7% of veterans are diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD) each year. The prevalence of CKD among veterans is 47.3%, which is much higher than the estimated prevalence in the US population.

  • Rates of CKD increase with age. More male veterans (8.2%) have CKD than female veterans (2.7%)

  • Kidney disease affects about 1 in 6 veterans, including more than 40,000 VA-enrolled veterans with kidney failure.

To our Veterans facing the complexities of kidney health, your strength is commendable, and we stand in solidarity with you. Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and resilience. This Veterans Day, we salute you, our heroes. 🙏
