Welcome to ReMend.

Together, we build resiliency and strength.

Providing peer mentoring for people on their kidney disease journey.

Our mission is to support people diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and help empower them to make informed decisions about their kidney health. We accomplish this by arranging meaningful talks with other kidney patients - ReMend Mentors - who have gone through similar experiences on their kidney journey.

New ReMend Online Kidney Support Community!

Are you a dialysis patient who feels lost and alone in your journey? Introducing our online kidney support group – a community you can trust and lean on for encouragement and strength!

Our kidney community is open exclusively for dialysis patients who are currently enrolled in the ReMend mentor program and/or referred by their social worker or doctor. This ensures that each member is guided by a ReMend Mentor who understands their unique struggles and challenges.

Let’s do this together.

ReMend Mentors aren’t social workers, nurses, or therapists. We’re individuals who’ve undergone dialysis and the kidney transplant procedure and are willing to share our knowledge to provide a humanistic approach to coping with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Mentors can engage with you to set goals surrounding all topics pertaining to coping, compliance, transplant and donation.

It’s important to know YOU have a voice and can be your own advocate thru a challenging and frightening period in your life. ReMend is here to help.

I continue my life by being there for others who are waiting for transplants. Knowing how emotionally and physically difficult it is to wait for a transplant, I hope that my strength will help encourage them to be strong. My happiness comes from helping other people.
